Spirometer validation via the ATS/ERS recommended Hans Rudolph waveform simulator
Are you concerned that your spirometer may not be measuring your clients results accurately?
Using a volume calibration syringe in isolation is only checking for volumes at a user defined (stroke) flow rate – usually 3 Litres.
Validation utilising a waveform simulator provides precise assessment of both volume and flow to ensure volume linearity across a range of flow rates.
A basic spirometer validation will assess your spirometer against 4 different waveforms of low-medium- high flow rates and range of volume.

The waveform generator is checking both the accuracy of flow and volume. A certificate of validation will be included upon completion of assessment.
26 waveforms are available for testing – waveforms developed by the ATS with Hankinson and Gardner.
