Description

The Easy on PC Spirometer offers a sophisticated yet accessible approach to spirometry. Featuring a streamlined design, it connects effortlessly to your computer via USB, allowing for real-time data visualization and in-depth analysis through its intuitive software. The device measures key pulmonary metrics such as FVC (Forced Vital Capacity) and FEV1 (Forced Expiratory Volume in 1 second), as well as FEV1/FVC ratio, PEF (Peak Expiratory Flow) and FIVC (Forced Inspiratory Vital Capacity) providing accurate readings to support diagnosis and health management.

Key Features:

  • User-Friendly Interface: Simplifies the testing process with clear, step-by-step guidance.
  • Precise Measurements: Delivers consistent and accurate spirometric data.
  • Global Lung Initiative Reference Values (GLI): As recommended by ATS 2019 and RSHQ 2022
  • Demographic Measurements: Currently only able to enter height to one decimal place but future software upgrades will allow entry of age and weight to one decimal place. These values should be added to your technical comments until software is updated.
  • Bronchodilator Responsiveness Calculation (BDR): As per European Respiratory Society (ERS, 2022).
  • Standardized Technical Comments: These can assist with making technical notes and spirometry interpretation comments a breeze. Out trainer can assist you in setting up comments for your clinic
  • PC Integration: Connects via USB for easy data transfer and detailed reporting.

How do I install the Easy On PC Spirometer software?

Software can be downloaded free of charge.
https://nddmed.com/pulmonary-resources/download/software. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

What types of measurements can the Easy on PC Spirometer perform?

The spirometer measures various pulmonary function parameters, including Forced Vital Capacity (FVC), Forced Expiratory Volume in 1 second (FEV1), and other essential metrics. The American Thoracic Standards (ATS, 2019) guidelines also recommend that the flow volume loop is an integral part of spirometry, and the Forced Inspiratory Vital Capacity (FIVC) should be included on your spirometry report.

This allows better analysis of your client’s initial breath in and allows you to evaluate if the breath in has been submaximal.

The Easy on PC allows both expiration only as well as the FVL method to be performed on your clients/ patients.

Can I use the spirometer on different computers?

Yes, the spirometer can be connected to any compatible PC (see PC requirements in more information section) with the provided USB cable and software. However, data and settings may not transfer between different systems.

How often should I verify the spirometer?

Regular verification using a 3-litre syringe is compulsory to ensure accurate measurements. TSANZ and RSHQ recommend calibrating every day using a Mutilflow calibration. A linearity calibration can also be completed monthly.

I would like to use the SpiroScore syringe. Is there an adapter required.

We recommend purchasing a 29mm rubber outlet combo which will make it possible to attach the Easy on PC to your SpiroScore syringe. Otherwise, the spirometer is also compatible with the Hans Rudolph syringe.

Is the data from the spirometer secure?

Yes, the Easy On PC Spirometer adheres to industry standards for data security, ensuring that patient/client information is protected.
